The Mermaids Reunited :-)

 

It was a fabulous start to the week as Catharine aka CK and Dorota aka Oz returned to Tenerife.  They both completed their PADI Divemaster Internship with me last summer, and it was nice to have them back with us all.  Mermaids are back together again.

They headed out with Tinman and Blinky for their first dives back at El Puertito, and they were certainly not disappointed with their visit to the turtles!!  They had a fantastic morning out and were amazed all over again at how friendly the turtles were.  Also on their dives they saw a cuttlefish, octopus and lots of Scorpian fish.

The next morning they headed out again but this time from the boat with Percy our boat captain, Tinman, Blinky and PADI Open Water Diver John.   The first dive was at Poco Naufragio where they all had an amazing encounter with several Rays, it’s a wonderful feeling being circled by the rays down amongst the ball of Roncadores that lives there.  Next they headed out to Pequeño Valle which is just a short boat trip away, they had a really great dive and saw shoals of Barracuda, Bream and Roncadores as well as more rays, Moray Eels and Octopus.

Blinky and I headed off to the Pool to have a quick look at his skill circuit, I was really impressed, and looking forward to the final marking next week, as unbelievably Blinky is coming to the end of his 8 week Divemaster Internship, it has flown by.  All week Blinky has been working hard on his Divemaster skills, it’s really good to see the improvement that he has been making.
We were joined at radazul by two Norwegians John  and Ole, with Tinman and Blinky, they had a great morning out, and its great to hear that Blinky is doing well with his dive briefings and leading.

Then it was time for Kevin to start his PADI Open Water course, Kevin  had already had some experience diving with a friend in the UK, so he was really happy under the water and completed all of his skills with ease, after some more theory and swims they headed down to the Pool again for the final confined water sessions.  Kevin was eager to get into the water the following day at Abades  Tinman was really impressed with Kevin underwater and they had two great dives completing skills and exploring.
